Splint from the brand Orliman® Ref TP-613D/TP-6101I, manufactured in thermoplastic, with foam interior and washable absorbent velor to prevent perspiration. There is also the possibility of the orthosis being molded to the patient's size, this process requires the use of a hot air gun.

Effects

  • ▪ Its function is to limit the mobility of the wrist, hands and fingers as completely as possible, keeping them in a 10º extension position and 10º cubital deviation except for the thumb.

Indications

  • ▪ As a treatment for pain, post-traumatic pain, as well as a complement for stabilization of the wrist after arthrodesis.
  • ▪ Postoperative, carpal tunnel syndrome, inflammatory processes in the carpal region. Rizarthrosis of the thumb, metacarpophalangeal immobilizations of the thumb, BENET dislocation.
