The medi® Epico active elbow brace is designed to guide and stabilise the joint in a physiological way. Made of soft, breathable material, it offers comfort, especially in the bend of the elbow. It has stabilising lateral hinge bars and allows individual limitation of flexion and extension, helping with post-operative recovery or in cases of instability and injury. 


 Features

  • ▪ Removable wedge set for individual limitation of flexion/extension (range of movement).
  • ▪ Limiting extension and flexion allows for personalised mobilisation according to the therapy that supports the healing process.
  • ▪ Soft, active and breathable material in the sensitive elbow area for greater comfort.
  • ▪ Indicator line on the elbow bend for correct positioning.

 Indications

  • ▪ Non-surgical treatment after simple elbow dislocation
  • ▪ Treatment of medial or lateral elbow instability
  • ▪ Postoperative treatment of osteochondrosis dissecans
  • ▪ Post-operative treatment of cartilage replacement therapy
  • ▪ Post-operative treatment after collateral ligament reconstruction

 

Contraindications

  • ▪ Concomitant neurological damage
  • ▪ Compartment syndrome

  • ▪ aB: Measurements Circumference 5 cm below the centre of the elbow joint
  • ▪ aT: Measurements Circumference 15 cm above the centre of the elbow joint
