Legal Warranty and Commercial Warranty

Scope: All products sold to consumers through www.lojaortopedica.pt benefit from a legal conformity warranty.

Consumers (personal use): 3 years for contracts concluded from 1 January 2022 onward, under Decree-Law No. 84/2021 of 18 October.

Professionals/companies: must report defects within 30 days after detection and up to 6 months after delivery, pursuant to Article 916 of the Civil Code.

Costs and process

During the warranty period, collection/return costs are covered by Loja Ortopédica®.

After reception, a technical inspection is performed:

• If non-conformity/manufacturing defect is confirmed, the product will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer.

• If no manufacturing defect is identified, a repair quote will be provided. The customer may accept or refuse it; in either case, the item will be available for collection at the indicated location or can be shipped back via carrier, with shipping costs borne by the customer.

Legal warranty exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, normal wear and tear, negligence, drops, humidity, or interventions carried out by unauthorised technicians.

Replacement parts

Under Article 21 of Decree-Law No. 84/2021, manufacturers must make repair parts available for a minimum period of 10 years from the date the product was last placed on the market.

Manufacturer’s commercial warranty

Some products may include an additional commercial warranty provided by the manufacturer.

The conditions and duration are stated on the product page, and this warranty must be activated directly with the manufacturer, without prejudice to the legal rights mentioned above.
