Incentive Spirometer 

Manufactured by the brand Kyara ®, it is used to treat or prevent pulmonary complications, especially during the postoperative period of abdominal and thoracic surgeries. Made from hypoallergenic materials with a robust structure.

Instructions for Use

  • ▪ The patient should be able to raise 2 or 3 balls through deep inhalation, according to a medical specialist’s instructions, holding their breath for as long as possible before removing the mouthpiece to exhale.
  • ▪ The technique should be performed in a sitting or semi-sitting position. The patient should first exhale fully, then inhale deeply and slowly through the device, followed by a breathing pause lasting around three seconds.

 

Standard Accessories Included

  • ▪ Transparent equipment divided into three sections made of non-toxic copolymer and polystyrene, indicating 600, 900, and 1200 cc per second;
  • ▪ Base made of non-toxic polypropylene;
  • ▪ Three balls made of non-toxic polypropylene;
  • ▪ Corrugated tube with mouthpiece made of polyethylene;
  • ▪ Air filter.
